Scott Ross

Scott Ross

Scott Ross needs little introduction, as he has had a long and illustrious career, spanning the last few decades. As general manager of Industrial Light and Magic, he ran the studio for George Lucas, before moving on to found Digital Domain with James Cameron and Stan Winston. Digital Domain is one of the largest visual effects companies in the world, and the team went on to win two Oscars, including one for Titanic. In recent years, Scott has toured the world speaking at industry events, using his vast experience to help promote the work of the VFX community.
Chris Nichols

Chris Nichols

CG Industry veteran Christopher Nichols is a founder of the Digital Human League and is the Director of Chaos Group Labs. He can also be heard regularly as the host of the CG Garage podcast. With a background in both VFX and Design, Nichols has worked for Gensler, Digital Domain, Imageworks and Method Studios. His credits include Maleficent, Oblivion and Tron: Legacy. His passion for design, lighting and technology drives him to push the art form and enable artists worldwide.
Sergio Caires

Sergio Caires

Sergio is a self-taught artist who started working in the CG industry in 1998. He has worked at Axis Studios for 12 years as a Generalist and CG Supervisor). He worked for five years at the DA Group prior to that, as Character Supervisor and then Art Director). Sergio has worked on 90% of the projects Axis has produced over the years, including Code Hunters, Halo Guardians, Dead Island, Dead Island 2, League of Legends: Mind of the Virtuoso, and The Incredible Hulk. Sergio has a true passion for CG and is constantly learning new tools, methods and techniques. His broader interests include science and natural history.
Sébastien Deguy

Sébastien Deguy

Sébastien Deguy is Founder and CEO at Allegorithmic, the makers of the Substance texturing tool suite. He holds a PhD in Computer Science and is also a musician, writer, essayist and dad.

Chris Christodoulou

As CEO, Chris has been the driving force behind the Saddington Baynes’ growth and evolution, from high-end retouch studio to one of the first post-production studios to harness the potential of CGI in-house. Today, the company delivers award-winning visual content and fully integrated creative production services to some of the biggest and best brands on a global level. Chris strongly believes in the power of great imagery to move people and fire the imagination.

Chris also spearheads the development of high-end Configurator solutions for clients, as well as Engagement Insights® – a world-first neuromarketing service and an entirely new way to measure the emotional impact of imagery.

Marc Shephard

Marc Shephard

Marc is a Senior Digital Artist at Saddington Baynes. Specialising in automotive CGI, Marc has a great deal of experience building and animating 3D scenes for video output. He's also adept at texturing and creating shaders, as well as modelling various components. A man of many talents, Marc's role at Saddington Baynes is to take the creative lead on projects, working directly with Client Creatives and Photographers to realise their vision and that of the Creative Director.
Adam Dewhirst

Adam Dewhirst

Adam Dewhirst is the Modeling and Texture Department supervisor for Mill NY. He has over 13 years experience in VFX spanning, Games, film, TV, commericals and children's television.

His first film credit was for the Golden Compass, which went onto win both an Oscar and a Bafta. His lead Modeler credits include WWZ and Guardians of the Galaxy where his team were responsible for bringing Rocket Racoon to life. He has worked on notable films such as The Dark Knight, Clash of the Titans and John Carter of Mars. His TV credits include Dr Who, Ice Age Giants, Sinbad and BBC's Jackanory.

Danny Sweeney

Danny Sweeney

Danny is a Character Artist currently working with Creative Assembly on the Total War: WARHAMMER series. As a long time fantasy and sci-fi fan, he specialises in biped characters, creatures, and hard surface armor and weapons, and is adept at generating efficient real-time characters from high poly sculpts to low poly textured meshes, taking care to study the lore of the WARHAMMER world so to further breathe life into his creations.
Glen Southern

Glen Southern

Glen runs SouthernGFX, a small Cheshire based studio specialising in character and creature design and look development with clients including SKY, Nike, Sainsbury's, Adidas, ATI, Screen Scene, Disney, Lego, Pixologic and Wacom. He's been using and training ZBrush in the UK for over 15 years and is a Wacom Ambassador for the UK and Ireland.

Maya Jermy

Maya Jermy

Maya is a freelance 3D artist and animator based in the UK. She graduated from Computer Animation and VFX at Leeds (Metropolitan) Beckett University back in 2012, which kickstarted her career. Just before graduation, Maya landed her first job in the games industry remaking and animating characters for the classic Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee - New 'n' Tasty. She specialises in character creation and her software of choice are ZBrush and KeyShot. Some of her work can be seen in Q&As and tutorials she writes for the 3D World magazine.

Bader Badruddin is a series Animation Director at Blue Zoo, with over 12 years experience in cartoony character animation for kids TV, Bader has worked on projects for Disney, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon and CBeebies across the world.
Simon Holmedal

Simon has been working for ManvsMachine as a technical director for the past 7 years and is now working under his own company. He’s a motion graphics director that specialises in abstract effects with an emphasis on design and intent. 
Paul Gerrard

Paul Gerrard

Paul Gerrard is a freelance artist for Movies/TV/Games. Currently working on Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen. He specialises in creatures, characters , aliens and world tech. Creating photorealstic 2d concept art alongside the sculpture and 3d model process. He was described by the showrunner of The Shannara Chronicles (of which he designs all the antagonists) as a conceptual visionary who consistently produces work of mind bending originality.

Anna Hollinrake

Anna Hollinrake

Anna is a senior concept and environment artist at Dream Reality Interactive and 2017 BAFTA Breakthrough Brit, specialising in creating worlds and defining art styles, low poly modelling, and hand painted texturing. She has worked on large scale properties such as Adventure Time and Magic: The Gathering, as well as lending her visual knowledge to helping craft new IPs. Alongside her work, she is also an advocate for mental health and greater diversity in games. 
Hugo Guerra

Hugo Guerra

Hugo is an award-winning Director, VFX Supervisor, and Lecturer from Portugal. During his career, he has worked at the BBC, Nexus, JellyFish and ultimately The Mill, where he became the Head of the Nuke Compositing Department and a VFX Supervisor for 4 years. Since 2014, Hugo has been working with Fire Without Smoke as a Cinematics Director in the triple-A games industry. He has directed and supervised trailers and cinematics for Activision, Ubisoft, Square Enix, Sony, Deep Silver, CCP among others.
