Simon Hughes is Union’s Creative Director. Simon studied Art and Design and Media Production Management before entering the world of Visual Effects; working at renowned studios including Cinesite, ImageEngine, Double Negative and now Union. Over the course of two decades, Simon has amassed a rare breadth of creative and technical knowledge and an enviable credit list including the Academy Award-nominated District 9, for which he was honoured with a Visual Effects Society award for Outstanding Compositing in a Feature Motion Picture. Since joining Union in 2012, Simon has bolstered his reputation as a highly inventive and flexible supervisor working on a wide variety of projects.
